EMCIP is a platform for analysis and reporting of maritime safety incidents.

The EMCIP (European Marine Casualty Information Platform) database is structured to enable the storage and processing of ship casualty related data, as well as data relating to occupational accidents. The database is populated by the national competent authorities of the Member States acting as data providers, who are supported by the system itself in their notifying, reporting and searching tasks, as well as in their preparatory work for conducting safety investigations. EMSA manages the system and accepts the communicated data before they are finally stored.

Installed at EMSA HQ in Lisbon, EMCIP platform is used by more than 20 other units as to report, store and investigate ship casualties.

ASMT is a high-performance monitoring and replaying tool used to detect, collect and analyze safety events.

Automatic Safety Monitoring Tool is an air traffic monitoring tool designed to accomplish multiple objectives in the complex field of Air Safety Management, such as: detection of safety events (e.g. SMI, TCAS, STCA), detection of problems with equipment or radar data and comprehensive statistical analysis of collected safety occurrences. It can be connected to the operational LANs, where it records traffic and emphasizes safety while providing users with information to fine tune their internal tools and equipment and it provides powerful replay capabilities as the user can go back in time and visualize recorded tracks and events with ease.

Deployed in more than 12 European ANSPs, amongst which ANS-Czech Republic, CROCONTROL, LPS Slovakia, NAV-Portugal, ASMT aims to extend its horizons even more to support the Global Safety Management System.

APF is a high tech management instrument  conceived to assist decision-making within an Organisation.

APF (Aerospace Performance Factors) leverages the concept of taking multiple streams of operational data, ideally system performance or safety data and create a graphical “translation tool” for the safety managers. It uses powerful data mining techniques in order to translate the organization mind-map into dynamic data cubes, with unlimited facts and dimension. There are multiple directions available to search for performance data and the scenario analysis or variant analysis is the representation of the presumed variation of the APF index for a number of future time intervals.

APF is a tool that can be connected to eTOKAI and allows each of its users to create What-if analysis and very enhanced statistics based on causal and explanatory incident and accident factors.

A strategic partnership was established between INDRA Sistemas and JLG that will take the tool to higher levels. Among capabilities are simulated trajectories, flight plans and airspace changes implementation.

SKY ROSTER is JLGs most recent project and it’s a planning tool with an aim for simplicity and customization.

Mixed with the right amount of human intervention, it ensures the optimal work planning for your team and quick, effective planning and publishing of the working schedule for any desired period.

The Sky-Roster is a tool that allows complex customization of the organizational structures, rules and man power requirements to make sure that all clients needs are met.

Because we value our customers fulfillment so much, we plan to extend its capabilities constantly, by developing new features, like a calendar tool where a Roster can be published, edited and even integrated with third-party apps.

Naviair started using TOKAI in 2016.  TOKAI is used as/for:
    • Occurrence reporting tool for both the ATCOs and ATSEPs
    • Investigation tool for the occurrence investigators
    • Risk Analysis tool (RAT)
    • Reporting to Management, NSA, ECCAIRS and other external parties.
    • Data extraction for trend monitoring
The overall user satisfaction in Naviair is very high.  The Incident reporters find it easy to use.  The Admin and investigators have a lot of tools and freedom of customization. The support from JLG very competent and quick.  It’s the best support from any IT-company I have worked with.

  • Tina BRASPENNINCX, Maastricht UAC - Incident Investigation
Eurocontrol, Maastricht Upper Area Control (MUAC) Centre has been using TOKAI for the past 3 years for reporting safety occurrences to the relevant National Supervisory Authorities. TOKAI has a user friendly HMI which can be adapted easily to the customer’s needs. The ability to design your own occurrence reports brings real added value to the tool. The local installation at MUAC went very smooth, and consecutive software updates are performed remotely and very quickly.  JLG has a professional team of software developers where any problems and/or questions are dealt with effectively and efficiently.

  • Declan HILLIARD, IAA Irish Aviation Authority
Through our use of Eurocontrol Safety Tools, we have being utilising JLG developed products for a number of years. In our interactions with JLG, we have found the team to be committed, talented and professional, providing workable solutions in a challenging environment.
  • Sharam ETMINAN, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung,  Corporate Safety Management
Since 2014 the DFS (Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH) has successfully implemented and incorporated the application of TOKAI with the help of JLG and EUROCONTROL mainly in the scope of the „occurrence investigation process“. The TOKAI module of data gathering, RAT and report generator are used on a daily basis and for the purpose of satisfying the needs of investigators and corporate safety management. In addition DFS has expanded the use of TOKAI in course of complying with the Framework of the regulation (EU) 376/2014 in combination with the implementing rule (EU) 2015/1018. Currently, DFS is using the TOKAI web interface to exchange event and occurrence data with DFS based daily log system. TOKAI is subject of continuous enhancements that are determined by the “Safety Management User Group and Change Control Board” (SMTUG/CCB) according to the agreed terms of references. With the distinguished excellent support of the TOKAI developer JLG and EUROCONTROL, required improvement-solutions are provided and software-based problems are always resolved. Considering the vast capabilities, the utilization of TOKAI pursues and strives to suit the needs in the ANSP environment.
  • Mónica García Medina, Safety Monitoring & Control, ENAIRE Spain
Enaire has recently signed an agreement with Eurocontrol for the use of TOKAI tool. The JLG team carried out the installation of  TOKAI on Enaire premises. The support of the JLG team all along this process has been extraordinary, making all steps smooth and easy and answering all our doubts and requests in a very thorough and professional way. The first impression of the TOKAI product is excellent, very configurable to satisfy many user needs. The possibility to communicate with other organisational tools trough web service is a breakthrough that will allow Enaire to take advantage of the many useful functionalities of TOKAI product with no need to replace currently existing tools but complementing them in a stepped approach for which we count on the support of the JLG team. Now, it is time for tests and trials!
  • HARALD SCHACHINGER, Austrocontrol Senior Expert Occurrence Management, Chairman of the CCB&SMTUG
Austro Control first got in touch with JLG around 2014, as Eurocontrol was already working with them in developing e-RAT and eTOKAI. We got the opportunity to become a part of the group, which assists the development of the two tools with the knowledge and experience from the user perspective. Finally, during the second half of 2015 Austro Control became an active user (one of the first in Europe) of the new, web-based tool eTOKAI. Since then, Austro Control substitutes the excel-sheets, the paper records with the new TOKAI and didn’t regret this until now! TOKAI and the integrated RAT (Risk Assessment Tool) works without failures and interruptions since the first day. And, it is used intensively, every day by a huge amount of users. JLG had done and is still doing a brilliant job! Through the Change Control Board (CCB) and the Safety Management Tool User Group (SMTUG), the users of TOKAI have to possibility to come forward with changes, improvements and other specific requests and JLG is always taking note an care of the necessities of the customers. Furthermore, TOKAI meets the requirements coming from the regulator, from EASA and EU and supports the exchange of data between all relevant institutions. The JLG Team brought us – the ANSPs around the globe – from “stone-age” to the digital, data driven and modern technology.
